Half A Year Already?

Amity turns 6months old today!! Still trying to figure that out how time could move so fast! She's doing great (besides getting over a cold). At her six month well check she weighed 17lbs 11oz and was (I think) 26inches tall (maybe 28? I don't remember- there was unfortunately a LOT of screaming at this visit- I am not going with out Ryan until the girls are MUCH older!!!). Amity has gained almost 10lbs in 6mos!

Riley Joy also had her 2 year well check
she weighed in at 23lbs 4oz and 34inches tall. When we weighed her at Christmas she was up to 25lbs (and we have a good scale!) she lost a lost some weight with all the colds and stomach bug on top of eating like a two year old-she has been hard to get food into since the New Year. But all in all both girls are doing great- healthy and strong.

Amity in her diaper- cloth are so much cuter but we're having to avoid them right now while we treat a little problem we found at her 6mos appointment- the oil and stuff I have to use would ruin the cloth dipes.

On Saturday night Amity got up on and hands and knees and rocked a bit- she desperately wants to pull up she grabs at things and tries so hard. She loves to sit and play with toys (Oh how I'll miss these stationary days!!!!!), she rolls all over the place and is starting to pest her sister by rolling and grabbing toys. She loves to play pat-a-cake and be talked to and to "talk" back. Some thing clicked in the 6th month as Ryan puts it "she developed a will and WHOA!" she is one determined spirited girly. She is going to have a strong voice- and I don't mean vocally (though who knows?) but we see leadership written all over her. We're loving this stage of our lives, as exhausting as it is (physically but mostly emotionally) we're trying our hardest to soak up every thing we can with our girls. We will miss this exhaustion some day...
