But I think the change in the night time routine (she really is a creature of routine, the slightest change seems to set things "off" for a day or two) caused some sleep problems last night, it was a rough night...And she was on a bit of a nap strike today. :0(
But it was worth it, Ryan and I had an awesome time at the movies! A friend of ours wanted us to see "American Carol" and treated us to the lovely date. It was so funny and so true, and really really great...I think all Americans should sit through it, it's funny and eye opening and sadly true (in my humble opinion). So we headed into to today a bit more tired than usual.
Today was our last sunday at Salem! It was kind of sad to know it won't be our home church anymore, but exciting to finally feel released to move onto the next thing God has for us. We've left on good terms, and the leadership totally understood our decision and we plan to go back and visit from time to time to keep in touch with people. You can read our "farewell letter" HERE.
Also exciting, Riley walked today. Okay not alone but very nearly! The nursery at church has this little cart/stroller/pusher thing and Riley pulled/stood up by it (with out it tipping!) and pushed that little thing all over the place...She'd walk it into a wall and stand there trying to figure out how to get unstuck, quite funny! At one point a little boy (12mos) thought what she was doing was really cool...So he crawled over to push the cart too. Only problem between both of their weight, the light little pusher thinger was going really fast. Riley kept kneeling down to slow it down and looking up and glaring at the older boy, then trying to push him off!
Oiye learning to share is going to be a so fun!
In other news she is really into other babies and kids right now, she can't get enough of them!!! At our Le Leche League meeting last week (breastfeeding support group meets once a month) there were 2 other tiny babies and 1 little girl a few weeks older than Ri...She couldn't get enough of any of them, especially the little babies. When any of the other little ones were nursing she'd go over and pull up on the Mom's leg and stare and stare and start talking.
She is very curious about every thing...We had a friend staying with us last week who had a tiny premie twin boys 2 weeks ago. Her twins were born 5 or 6 weeks early (so 4lbs 13oz if you can imagine that tininess!!) and she needed a place to stay close to the hospoital while she went back and forth to the NICU where the one baby had to stay (ugh!). Riley was soo interested in those tiny babies, and quite jealous of not having Mommies arms available when I was taking care of the twin that was here with us. Our friend whas breastfeding and had to go back to the hospital every 2ish hours to feed the one twin, so we helped watch the other baby while she was gone, it was a rough time for her and we were so happy when every one could go home and be together!!! Riley loved the itty bittys that and is shockingly gentle with ones that are younger than her (obviousy didn't let her touch the premies). She is going to be such an awesome big sister (down the road)!

Ryan gave me this beautiful bouquet as a random "I love you" coincedentally on Riley's 9 month birthday. It meant so much! :0)
Riley and I playing... She gets more and more fun every day. Her favorite games are "chase" and "hide and go seek".
So now it's getting late and I need to head to bed... We had a wonderful relaxing weekend full of lots of sunshine, autumny breezes and rest. God is so gracious for giving us weekends like this!!!!
