New things...

We're living with a busy little chatter box these days. Riley Joy is just amazing us with chitter chatter- non stop chitter chatter. It's much more extreme when she's tired, she becomes this little motor mouth. But she doesn't really have enough words to talk about things so she just makes a ton of noises with words thrown in. "Dee de de da da de, mommy, memememem, de da, potty, ami, naked, de de da de de Barny, silly barny, obba obba doooo....Fuunny, I fuuuny..."!

Yes, "naked" is her latest word! She thinks Amity getting a bath is hilarious. Just waiting for her to shout it in the middle of Walmart like she does at home "Ami, NAKED, NAKED NAKED, MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!" yipes.

She has become very polite of late, she finally understands the concept of please ("peas"). Thank you (fank you) and welcome (elcome) she gets quite mixed up on. But it's still so cute to hear those little words come out of her mouth. I've also been really working on her to say "help" instead of whining if she can't do some thing. When she gets frustrated with a toy or can't reach some thing she wants she pipes up "Mommy help! det it! Fix it! Help! peeeease!" untill I get what she is asking for or distract her with some thing better (erm. allowed).

Amity is doing great, we went to our 6week midiwfe visit this past Monday. Guess how much our little chunka munk is weiging in at now? 13lbs 2oz, that's right that's a 5lb weight gain since birth. She is such a sweet happy baby, her smiles and newborn giggles just melt us. We are just so enjoying the second time around. #1 AJ is just a seriously easier temperment than RJ and #2 it's just so much easier in general-we know kinda what we're doing now. Still a whole new baby and new ball game- but it's fun this time. Not to wish time away, but I am sooo excited for AJ to get a bit bigger so she and RJ can play together. Riley desperately wants Amity to play with her, she brings her toys she begs to hold her, she tries to pick her up (in other words, she keeps Mommy very very busy!)... Amity takes it in stride and seems to enjoy Riley's attention for the most part- she smiles and grins when Riley talks to her (unless she's trying to sleep).

No pictures this time just wanted to write some things out- so we'll have it and remember these days. I can't bleieve Amity wil be 7 weeks old on Saturday.
