In Other News...Riley Is Growing Too Fast!

She now puts her hands through her sleeves all by herself, she gets angry and frustrated if you try to direct her hands. SHE wants to find the sleeve and put her hands through herself! Haha actually she's been doing that about a month, but I just thought of it tonight because she was very upset at bedtime because I did it for her. Sheesh! Like I said, she's growing too fast. :0(

She also took 2 steps to get to me without being prompted [to walk], a first! She usually drops to her knees and crawls to me, but she had been crusing and just turned and stepped to get a hold of me...Definitely got my attention! :0)

Another reminder that she's getting older: She took 5 steps in a row last Thursday night!! Starting with THREE real direct steps towards me and then switching gears to TWO quck lunging starting-to-lose-her-balance steps!!!!! :0) She is also standing for longer and longer stretches...Today she was standing holding onto my pantlegs and let go to clap and bounce a little to some music.
She has also really been understanding more and more language lately. She recognizes "no" (and shakes her head), "kiss", "Doggie", "nurse", "go to sleep", "go get your blanket[goes and gets it]"/ "where is your blanket [looks around for it]"...It's so amazing to watch these new developments!

Her teeth are really truely cutting and we're so going to miss her gummy grins... Next time we see any sort of gummy grin she'll probably have pig tails in her hair, and have fun trying to say "sister susie sittin on a thistle"!
