Well it's been a few weeks since I've written a post- March has turned out to be a very busy month!
Riley Joy is growing up so much, and is pulling out a lot of cute new tricks. She understands a ton of language and will follow simple directions..."Go get your Sippie cup"..."Where are your shoes?" (she goes and finds them, granted some times they aren't a matching pair hehe) "Bring shoes to Mommy"(she almost always does this as she knows it means we're going some where)..."Do you want to go outside?" (runs to the front door)... "Go to your highchair" (she races to her high chair chanting "num num num")... "Are you hungry?" (answers with num num num running to her chair :0) "Are you sleepy?" (races to the stairs whining "nigh nigh niiiiiigh") and last night we were able to get her to go back to sleep by telling her, "it's dark. Shhhhh go to sleep. Nigh nigh" A HUGE milestone there because sleep has never been some thing she's entered easily or on "command".
What else is she up to? Her favorite phrase right now is "down stairs" (dow tair), it means she wants to go to any room that isn't the room she's gated in. She can also point to her belly, nose, and feet when asked where they are- her favorite to find is her belly- especially when she's not wearing a onsie.
She just found a bottle of bubbles we haven't played with in a few weeks "bubble" she says "BUUUBLE!!!" I guess she knows that word now, I need to hurry up and close and take her outside to blow bubbles, they are very important to her at the moment she's begggggging for me to blow some, she thinks it's hilarious to pop them with her face.
We went on a trip last week to see her grandparents in Florida, we were down for 3 days and it was a nice little visit. Here are a few pictures
