Barny and the Deck...The Best Two Things In the World!

We spend hours out on the back deck playing with Barnabas ("bobby" is Riley Joy's name for him at this point) and riding on her deck toys. I gotta say, as much work as Barnabas has been the past year, he's really starting to pay off- Riley LOVES him. If she's cranky or fussy just let her have some play time with Barny and she is allll giggles. She likes to try to act like him, I've caught her on a few occasions on all fours over his water bowl little pink tongue inches from taking a drink. And she's sampled his food on many occasions...She also loves to help feed him, she is very good at dumping his cup of food into the bowl.

Her newest Barny antic is to pant. When she's excited she sticks out her tongue and pants like Barny does...Yes, our dog is teaching her some really great things. eegsh.

Whale spout! Her hair is finally long/thick enough to put it up with a elastic instead of a clip...About 20 minutes after this picture was taken she was eating lunch of beans and rice, and reached up pulled the elastic out. The next thing I know the bowl is on her head-and she is proudly showing off her new hat. I took the bowl away and since the beans were there she figured it was a good time to "wash" her hair... with the beans and rice! Never knew it was such a great conditioner. I guess calling her attention to the fact that she HAS hair is not really that great of an idea- at least at lunch time.
